Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information:

Experiencing fever or cough with bodyaches? Please consider calling your doctor's office. If you are healthy and are in URGENT need of our help, Life Connections will continue to be available to our clients throughout this current pandemic, but with restricted hours and Covid-19 precautions. Out of concern for everyone’s health, we are asking that you only come in for urgent needs and that you call ahead to make sure a volunteer is available. For the time being, our hours are Monday 10-5, Wed 10-2:30, and Friday 10-4:30.

EVERYONE IS ASKED TO SANITIZE THEIR HANDS WITH THE SOLUTION AVAILABLE AT THE DESK.

If another client is in the office, we will ask you to wait in your car until the office is cleared. We are not accepting donations of clothing or toys at this time. But we are very much in need of monetary donations, as well as unopened and not expired formula, baby food, diapers and wipes. Please be patient with us as we try to remain open under difficult circumstances so that we may be able to help as many people as possible.

THANK YOU and please stay safe for yourselves and your family!

Cribs

Safe Sleep Program

Schedule Your Appointment

Life Connections does not hand out cribs directly, but we work closely with Public Health nurses in several counties to help families obtain safe sleep equipment for their child.

If you are in need of a crib or playpen, please either call your county’s Public Health department first and ask for a Safe Sleep class appointment or call the number below. You can also call us to find out their phone number.

The required class to obtain a crib is a short video, a little paperwork, and some question-and-answer time. The nurse will offer you either crib or a more convenient and movable pack-n-play, which will be delivered to your home.

If your county’s Public Health department does not participate in the Safe Sleep program, you can make an appointment with Horizon Public Health or with us, and we will find you someone that can help you.

Horizon Public Health is a local public health organization that serves the residents and communities of Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens and Traverse Counties. With offices in all five counties, they are able to work with both individuals and community partners, who share a goal of promoting and improving health for all.

A Spanish translator is available to assist with these crib classes and safe sleep training.

Horizon Public Health Office Hours

Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

As with everything else that we distribute from our office, cribs are donated to us through various benefactors and grants. However, when the cribs run out for the year, or when the funds to buy them has been used up, we cannot guarantee the ability to provide more until the supply is refilled. Please accept our dearest apologies if this should happen. It hasn’t happened yet and we pray that it won’t. We will do everything we can to help families, so please work with us.

If you are not a client reading this but a potential donor, please consider signing up through our donation link, and for $275, you can buy a safe place for another baby to sleep.

THANK YOU!

We appreciate all your knowledge and hard work. Your info has helped us get through the first few weeks of being first-time parents.
